Darwin for independent coaches
App for personal trainers to prescribe training and track athletes online
The independent coach's job is to prescribe and track. The rest, building spreadsheets, chasing a photo of the workout, asking whether it was done, is what eats the week.
Under active development. Features are still in development. Professional accounts are not open yet; join the preview list and the team will share availability when it is ready.
The problem
Where remote coaching usually breaks
- 01
The Google spreadsheet becomes five versions and none is the one the athlete is following.
- 02
You only know whether the athlete trained when they reply on WhatsApp, and they do not always reply.
- 03
Attracting new athletes depends on referrals, because there is no storefront with proof of your work.
In practice
Prescribe, track and attract athletes, without building spreadsheets.
Roster with weekly load, adherence and feedback from the last session.
Training builder by modality: draft, review and send to the athlete.
360 view of the athlete (intake assessment, history, photos) respecting the contract scope.
A mirror of what was prescribed against what the athlete actually completed.
Per-contract chat and comments on the athlete's own session.
Marketplace: show up, get reviews and close contracts inside the app.
How it works in practice
From the first connection to ongoing coaching
- 01
The athlete finds you in the marketplace, sees the reviews and closes a contract scoped by modality.
- 02
You prescribe in the builder and the plan lands in their app, on the same engine the app uses.
- 03
Completed training comes back side by side with the prescribed, and the conversation happens in the contract, not on WhatsApp.
Product limits
When Darwin is not the right choice
If all you want is a storefront to sell one-off consulting, there are simpler tools. Darwin only makes sense for those who will actually prescribe and track inside the app; attracting athletes is a consequence, not the product.
Direct answers
Independent coaches: frequently asked questions
Acompanhamento e privacidade
What app does a personal trainer use to track athletes remotely?
The personal trainer needs an app where they prescribe and the athlete executes, so prescribed and completed sit side by side without anyone transcribing anything. In Darwin the coach builds in the builder, the plan lands in the athlete's app and what they check off flows back to the roster, with the weekly load and feedback from the last session.
Does the coach see everything about the athlete?
No. What the coach sees is limited by the contract scope and the athlete's consent. A running contract does not open the meal plan, for example. Privacy by default, and the athlete can revoke it.

How does the coach attract new athletes on Darwin?
Through the marketplace: you set up your profile, get reviews from those who have trained with you and close contracts inside the app, scoped by modality. Whoever searches there is already an athlete using Darwin.
Can I talk to the athlete inside the app?
Yes, through chat tied to the contract, and also through comments on the training session itself. The conversation stays attached to the athlete's history instead of getting lost in a WhatsApp thread.
