Where to find recovery services in Florianópolis: how to use this guide
The selection below brings together 10 venues and service channels. Compare the advertised service, the location confirmed by the business and what the quote includes. Where prices or addresses could not be officially reconfirmed, we recommend direct contact. Editorial check on 25/10/2026.
Recovery is a broad commercial term. It may describe a wellness circuit or feature within a physiotherapy clinic. Offering a piece of equipment does not establish that a treatment is suitable for your complaint, and inclusion in this list is neither certification nor a quality ranking.
What the science supports before you book
Perceived soreness, strength and performance are different outcomes. A session may provide comfort without speeding up strength recovery; a study of foam rollers does not establish the same effect for a massage gun or manual massage. The reviews below help you formulate questions, without choosing treatment for you.
Ice baths and cryotherapy
The review by Moore and colleagues (2022), covering 52 studies, found benefits of cold-water immersion for some recovery outcomes after intense effort, including perceived soreness. Effects vary with exercise, measurement timing and outcome; this does not guarantee better performance in the next session. Cryotherapy chambers and cold-water immersion are different interventions and should not automatically be assigned the same conclusion.
For people who also do strength training, the review by Piñero and colleagues (2024), covering 8 studies, suggests that cold immersion immediately after sessions may attenuate hypertrophy. The authors note limitations in study quality. This finding establishes neither a universal safe interval for using ice nor a recommendation for every race week. Also see the guide to ice baths and hypertrophy.
Compression boots and pressotherapy
The review by Maia and colleagues (2024) included 17 studies and 319 participants. It found small effects on perceived soreness at some measurement points and limited results for muscle function. Only 6 of the 17 studies used a placebo condition, making it harder to separate equipment effects from expectations. Comfort is a possibility; faster strength recovery is not a promise this review supports.
Myofascial release, rollers and massage
The meta-analysis by Wiewelhove and colleagues (2019), covering 21 studies, assessed foam rolling: rollers and self-massage devices. It observed reduced perceived soreness after exercise, while effects on strength and sprint recovery were small and not statistically significant. The mechanisms are not established; pain modulation is one hypothesis. These results cannot be fully transferred to every technique called myofascial release or used to select the best clinic.
Dry needling
The review by Kużdżał and colleagues (2025), covering 24 studies and 580 athletes, found more favorable results for people with pain or injuries than for healthy athletes seeking recovery. Only 3 studies explicitly documented adverse events. This incomplete reporting limits safety conclusions. The procedure requires a qualified professional to assess indications and risks; it is not a mandatory addition to training.
Sauna, heat and contrast
The review by Ahokas and colleagues (2025) found mixed results for heat exposure after exercise, without a single conclusion of benefit. Enjoying the experience is not the same as demonstrating a performance gain. It also does not establish individual safety. Saunas, hot tubs and alternating hot and cold exposure require screening and guidance from the provider; this guide contains no formula for temperature, duration or frequency.
When your search needs to start with an assessment
Persistent symptoms, a change in running form, suspected injury or a return after treatment warrant a health assessment before purchasing a wellness circuit. Ask for the responsible professional's name, qualifications and registration, and explain your symptoms and health conditions. A device does not make a diagnosis. The guides to sleep, rest and delayed-onset muscle soreness help you organize that conversation.
Where to find recovery services in Florianópolis: 10 actual venues
The list was compiled on 24/10/2026 from public sources: each venue's official website and Instagram account. The four venues providing recovery services as such come first, followed by the six sports physiotherapy clinics. The order is not a ranking. Addresses appear when published by the venue; session or plan prices appear only where they exist in public sources.
1. Reab Recovery, Centro
Clínica Reab's recovery service; the clinic has operated in physiotherapy since 2008 and reports more than 15 thousand patients served in the city. Its menu is technical: ice bath, Game Ready, Normatec pneumatic boots, Compex electrical stimulation, laser therapy and sports massage, organized into fixed protocols with a duration for each stage. It is the only venue on this list with open pricing on its website: Bronze protocol at R$ 90, Silver at R$ 137 (ice, massage, Game Ready and laser) and Gold at R$ 196 (all six methods), with a progressive discount from 2 protocols. The venue reports a presence at races such as Meia Maratona de Floripa, Uphill and Ironman, specializing in post-race recovery. Address: Av. Mauro Ramos, 1450, 13º andar, Centro; Monday through Friday, 8h to 19h30. Contact: WhatsApp (48) 99955-0171 and website fisioterapiareab.com.br/recovery.
2. Aloha Recovery Floripa
The Florianópolis location of a recovery chain created by a triathlete (the name originated in 2016 during training for Ironman in Havaí), with venues also in Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Joinville and Porto Alegre. The chain advertises cryotherapy tubs, hot tubs with ozone treatment, sauna, pneumatic compression boots, manual and instrument-assisted myofascial release, electrical stimulation and massages (sports, cupping, drainage), with a complete circuit lasting about 1 hour. The chain's website confirms the Florianópolis location and its contact, but does not provide the local address. Contact the location before traveling there. Contact: WhatsApp (48) 99981-2795 and Instagram @alohafloripa.recovery. Ask directly for the current price.
3. Start Recovery, Estreito
Start Doing's muscle recovery venue, from the jiu-jitsu and muay thai school on the same street, open to people who do not train there: the website itself states that you do not need to be an athlete or student to use it. It combines sauna, cryotherapy in an ice bath, hydromassage, cupping, electrical stimulation and pneumatic compression boots, with scheduled sessions Monday through Saturday, morning through evening. Its stated audience includes runners, cyclists and triathletes. Address: Rua Santos Saraiva, 320, Estreito. Contact: Instagram @likestartdoing and booking through the website's WhatsApp. Ask directly for the current price.
4. Fluir Saúde Integral, Lagoa da Conceição
A studio in Lagoa offering sports recovery based on pneumatic compression boots, as well as myofascial release, equipment-based Pilates and physical and functional assessment. Two distinguishing details: sessions are preceded by screening, and the website lists contraindications (circulatory, heart and infectious conditions), information missing from most competitors. The audience described is people with tired, heavy legs after running, cycling, surfing or gym training. Address: R. Liberato Carioni, 520, Lagoa da Conceição. Contact: WhatsApp (48) 99165-9619 and Instagram @fluir.saudeintegral. Ask directly for the current price.

The website publishes each professional's registration: six physiotherapists with visible CREFITO registration and one nutritionist with CRN registration. Do not confuse it with Move On in Campeche, a training center and running coaching service: they are different businesses. Contact: WhatsApp (48) 98856-8671 (La Plage) and (48) 99160-9659 (JUSC), Instagram @moveonintegrada. Ask directly for the current price.

How to compare proposals before paying
- Provider: ask who provides the service, their qualifications and registration, where applicable.
- Goal: explain your complaint and distinguish comfort, assessment and treatment.
- Scope: ask what is included, duration, follow-up, cancellation and any package terms.
- Risks: confirm indications and contraindications before any cold or heat exposure or invasive procedure.
- Commercial details: check pricing, address and scheduling directly with the location, including when a chain operates in more than one city.
Do not compare equipment names alone. A physiotherapy assessment and a wellness circuit are different services, and a published price for one location is not a quote for the others.
